Horace Smith and Daniel Baird Wesson formed a partnership in 1852 to manufacture a firearm that could fire a fully self-contained cartridge. From the beginning, Smith & Wesson® firearms were noted for their innovative design,high quality production and reliability. The accomplishments of Smith & Wesson are numerous and its contributions to the history of firearms are vast. Smith & Wesson was an industry leader in 1852 when it was first founded and continues to lead the world today with innovations into the 21st century.

ELEY ammunition now part of the ISS bouquet

ELEY established in 1828, is now globally recognised as the manufacturer of the most consistently accurate .22LR rimfire ammunition in the world. ELEY ammunition has been proudly made in Great Britain and now resides at our highly technical production and testing facility in Birmingham, West Midlands, UK.

In 2018, as ELEY celebrate their 190th anniversary, they are launching a new air pellet product which bears the historic Tenex name and standards: ELEY Tenex air. In 1951 ELEY redefined the potential of the .22LR cartridge with ELEY Tenex: elite rimfire ammunition for the most discerning shooters. Continuous development and evolution has since maintained their competitive advantage and helped their consumers reach their potential.

Hodgdon Powder Company and IMR

Inyathi Sporting Supplies are proud to be distributors of Hodgdon and IMR powder in South Africa. The Hodgdon Powder Company began in 1952 as B.E. Hodgdon, Inc., and has become a major distributor of smokeless powder for the ammunition industry, as well as for individuals who load their own ammunition by hand. The company's corporate office and manufacturing facilities are located in Kansas, United States. Hodgdon acquired IMR Powder Company in 2003. Winchester branded reloading powders have been distributed in the United States by Hodgdon since March 2006. In January 2009 Hodgdon acquired GOEX Powder, Inc., located in Minden, Louisiana, the only manufacturer of black powder in the USA.[1] Together these product lines make Hodgdon one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of gunpowder in the world.
